Sculpting course "warm - up"
Neither size nor material determine the beauty of a sculpture – of much more importance are form, composition, and quality of work.
Who desires to create something precious out of soft stone?
Who has only one week in which to do it?
In this one-week stone sculpting course, we would like to show you a selection of stones, all of which can be used to complete a simple piece of work in just one week:
- Shellbearing limestone
- Alabaster
- Soapstone
- Sandstone
- And Peccia marble of course
The pieces of work can be 10 cm to 40 cm high or long. We will work with hammer and chisel, with rasps, saws, lots of creativity and pleasure, and – if necessary – using machines.
