Sculpting for advanced students II
Theme: "Statics and Dynamics"
The aim of this course is to design and produce a sculpture in which the tension of static and dynamic forms, structures and rhythms is portrayed. Hence the stance should not be static, on the contrary, it should allow for as many varied and dynamic viewpoints as possible.
The participants will be tutored by two course-leaders who complement each other in that they come from different artistic disciplines. This gives a variety of perspectives in the figurative to non-figurative work. Thus, each course participant can expect to receive first-rate and individual guidance.
The starting point can be a fragment from the Cristallina quarry or a tailored block from the nearby stone works. The work can be prepared by making clay models, or drawings, or by carving the stone directly.
