By carrying out several practical exercises, under supervision, and working creatively on our own, we will gain an insight into the various possible ways one can create an artistic piece of work. With the help of quotations and considering the works of some contemporary sculptors we will start the course with a discussion. We have at our disposal an art library with a large number of books. These can also act as a stimulus. With all the gained experiences the student will produce a unique piece of work. From the middle of the week one or two pieces of work will be cast in plaster. Depending on the shape of the piece the practical steps in the casting of the plaster will vary. However, at the center of it is the "lost pattern" technique.

The course language is German, but the tutor also speaks English.
