As an outstanding cultural site, Kartause Buxheim offers ideal conditions for presenting sculptures and installations. A large number of the participating artists have been inspired by the location and have created or selected objects that have been conceived precisely for the site.
The monastic setting offers the possibility to deal with spiritual or philosophical issues as well as with very human ones. Psychological highs and lows are also explored.
The exhibition of the Scuola di Scultura shows works of lecturers, students, graduates and freelancers alike and offers a profound insight into the educational work done at the sculpture school in Peccia / Ticino.
