Marie Therese Bätschmann. Born in Bern. Studied art history, folklore and medieval history at the University of Basel, with a doctorate in 1990. Research studies in Germany, France, Italy and California, research assistant at the ‚Kupferstichkabinett’ in Basel, at the Art Museum Bern and the ‚Burgerbibliothek’ Bern. Period of practical training as a stonemason with Peter Kocher, Firma Bernasconi AG, Bümpliz/BE. Lecturer at the Scuola di Scultura in Peccia. Publications about reproduction graphics, Swiss drawings, Bernese portraits, Mariann Grunder, Theodor Zeerleder, Albrecht von Haller and Barthélemy Menn.
