Designer, artist and lecturer based in Zurich. Active since 1991 in the fields of advertising, spatial design and styling. Independent artistic practice with studios in Zurich and Basel (since 1994). Born in 1966 in Zurich. Mother of two adult daughters. Trained as a display designer at Modissa/BIG in Zurich (1984–1988), followed by a stay abroad in the USA (1988–1989). Since 1991, working as a freelance designer and photo stylist for advertising in Zurich, Basel and Bern. Since 1994, continuous independent artistic work with own studios in Zurich and Basel.
Intermedia works focusing on photography, sculpture, painting and performance. Since 2023: development of the label Marta – a kind of fashion, at the intersection of art, textiles and conceptual fashion. 2004–2012: development and realization of the fashion label Froschkönig – Yesterday a Duvet, Today a King, with a focus on textile transformation and object art.
Further studies at the Zurich University of the Arts with the CAS programs Arts and Design in Practice (2022), Creationship (2023), Adult Education in the Arts and Design (2024/2025) and, from 2025, the MAS program Creative Practice. Training as a colour designer at STF Zurich (2002–2004). Long-standing teaching activities in design and staging: lecturer at Zurich University of the Arts in the Winterschool Scenic Design with Textiles (since 2024) as well as teaching assignments in staging, product presentation, visual merchandising and textile design at Swisscom (2013–2017) and the inter-company courses Polydesign 3D in Zurich and Winterthur (2013–2016). Expert examiner in the Polydesign 3D qualification procedure of the Canton of Zurich (2004–2015) and since 2015 vice-president of the examination board for design professions in the Canton of Zurich.
