Alex Naef

Born in 1954. Third-generation sculptor. Studied art education, art therapy and cultur management. Director of the Scuola di Scultura di Peccia.

Trained as a sculptor from 1971-75.From 1976-77 he attended sculpture classes in Lucerne. 1981-82: He received 1st prize for sculpture work from Baronne Edmonde de Rothschild in Geneva.1982: Own sculpture "Aggregate" displayed in the art museum in Berne.1983-87: Studied art therapy and -education in Ottersberg/Bremen. Diploma. Since 1987 he has been developing and directing the Scuola di Scultura in Peccia.1991: Completed own sculpture "Guardiano", made for the IHP in Eschweiler.1996-98: Was commissioned to construct the fountain "Wassertor" (The Water Gate) in Berlin-Weissensee. 2004 Sculptures "Lamusir" and "Ovaloid" Albergo Belvedere - Locarno. 2004-2005 /2010-2012 he is studying "Kulturmanagement" at the Hochschule für Gestaltung in Lucerne. 2013 MAS HSLU "Kulturmanagement Praxis", Luzern. 2017 Commission and execution "Acquamorfosi", Caserma dei pompieri, Maggia.

2011 - 2019 Managing Director of the Fondazione Internazionale per la Scultura. Since 2021 Member of the Board of Trustees of the Fondazione Internazionale per la Scultura. See also: www.centroscultura.ch
