Artistic Coaching and Project Development
Do you have an idea for a sculptural project, a work already in progress, or a sculpture for which you are unsure what the next step should be? In this new course format, your personal project and artistic questions take centre stage. Together with the course instructor and through exchange within the group, the project will be clarified, further developed and approached in practical terms.
This pilot course is aimed at participants with previous experience in stone carving. Unlike thematic advanced courses, each participant works here towards their own individual goals.
The instructor supports participants both artistically and technically: from developing and refining an idea, through questions of form and composition, to practical aspects of its realisation. Sculptures already in progress may also be brought to the course, particularly when you have reached a point where an experienced outside perspective, technical clarification or support in making an artistic decision could help you move forward.
The main focus is on stone carving in marble. Other types of stone, such as limestone or, where appropriate, alabaster, may also be possible by prior arrangement.Throughout the week, there will be individual consultations, group critiques and shared reflection sessions. The aim of the course is to develop a project to the point where it can be started, continued or completed with clarity and confidence. Depending on its scope, a work may be finished during the course week or continued independently at a later stage or during a further stay in Peccia.
The course provides space for focused work, professional exchange and new impulses – for people who wish to continue developing their own artistic path with professional guidance.
